  • No. Many people get intimidated by dancing and get stuck in the trap of thinking dancing is a totally different skill. Dancing is simply walking and moving with rhythm - hopefully while enjoying the music and having fun. If you’ve never stepped foot on a dance floor or are a seasoned wedding party-goer and want to hone your skills - I can help.

  • I have 2 different locations that I can teach out of, as well as offering lessons in the comfort of your home (more on that later). One location is in downtown Denver on Clarkson and Colfax and one is in Lakewood.

  • Yes, sort of. I don’t travel to people’s homes, but do offer online lessons so you can learn in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a computer/tablet with a large enough screen to see me and a large enough space to move without knocking things over. If you’re dancing on carpet, don’t wear shoes. If you have a large space on hardwood, concrete, or tile then you can choose whether to wear shoes or not.

  • While this very much depends on how much experience you have when you start lessons, there are 2 answers to this:  First, how long does it take to get comfortable. Usually a year to a year and a half if you’re starting from no dance skills whatsoever. Secondly, how long does it take to get good at dancing. It all depends on what you define as good. Even world champion dancers are still trying to get good at dancing. It’s better to think of dancing as an opportunity to continue to grow and improve your skills. This is why dancing is such an amazing hobby that can benefit you for the rest of your life, without getting old or boring.

  • If you’re unsure of what style of dance you want to learn - start with the music! What music gets you excited and wanting to move - that’s where we should start!

  • If you’re looking to dance as a form of exercise - wear something comfortable that you can move in. If you’re looking for a date night with your partner - wear date clothes and try to look the part. It will help give you confidence on the dance floor and will make it more of an occasion. If you’re wanting to look the part of a dancer - then wear dresses, button up shirts, etc.

  • I am not a world champion. There are other teachers out there that may be better dancers than me. However, being a great dancer doesn’t make you a great teacher. I excel at helping people understand and achieve their dancing goals in a style that suits them. I like to meet people where they are at. If you leave a lesson having had fun and feeling more comfortable, you are much more likely to come back and continue your dancing journey!
